Based on a curse theory, This movie holds the story of a house which is possessed by an evil spirit. A housewife name Kayako Saeki fell in love with his college professor Peter Kirk.

Believing that his wife has an affair with Peter, Kayako’s husband kill her and his son in rage, which disposes of mysterious supernatural curse on the house.Takeo(Kayako’ husband) then hid the bodies in the house before Kayako’s ghost killed him, after few years when William’s family moved into the haunted house bad things begin to happen. Despite being a remake of Japanese horror flick  JU-ON (the grudge in Japanese) the film was a smasher at the box office which earns $187 million over $10 million budget.

This is India’s first stereoscopic 3D horror film released in 2011.This film is a mixture of great visual effects, significant acting by MahaakshayChakrabortyy (Rehan), Tia Bajpai (Meera), Arif Zakaria(professor Iyer) and great directing by Vikram Bhatt.The story based on an evil-hearted piano teacher( Iyer) who fall madly for his students Meera. One day professor Iyer tried to rape Meera In order to escape Meera killed professor with the candlestick. Professor Iyer became evil spirit and return to haunt Meera forever. 80 years later when Rehan was sent by his Father to check on their mansion which they are gonna sold off in ten days. As soon as Rehan arrive at the mansion mysterious thing started to happen.

Rehan investigates and found about the past of the mansion by weed smoking baba. All thrill begins when Rehan go back in past to help Meera and to free his mansion from the evil spirit. This movie also did well at the box office earning 36cr rs against the budget of 13cr rs.

  1. Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974)

Horror is not all about ghosts every time, sometimes human acts are also horrifying. This vintage human slaughtering movie was the best example of that.This movie was banned because of his violent content. Four friends ran out of gas while visiting sally’s grandfather grave.

Due to there extraordinary bad luck, they stumble into the slaughtering family house. Directed by ‘Tobe Hooper’ and written and co-produced by Hooper and Kim Henkel this film is not for weak hearts.

This is a terrifying movie which shows how a family must unite in order to survive the torture of an unspeakable and dangerous evil. This movie is about an antique wooden box, which the youngest daughter of the family has. The couple discovers that their daughter is behaving erratic and the box has the spirit inside as it was made to contain the dibbuk.

Overall the directing of the movie is excellent, all the pieces fit together well and you understand the story. It is a very well told story that develops into lots of thrills and scares. This is not a glory film which is very good. But it keeps you entertained all the way through The characters. They are excellent and interesting. It has everything perfect.


When the trailer posses the producers of ‘Paranormal Activity’ and ‘Insidious’ the idea of what tone this film would be reared its head. This movie is about a crime writer who desperately wants a hit. So when he found the film which shows the death of the family he vowed to solve the case.
